| The Ministry exists to manage and monitor performance of State Owned Enterprises (SOE) in order for them to effectively and efficiently deliver the goods and services they were created for. The Ministry plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal utilization and management of scarce resources made available to the parastatal sector. | Mission
The Ministry believes the public has the right to high quality services provided at the most efficient and cost effective manner hence: Our mission is to ensure the optimal utilization and management of resources available to the parastatals in order to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services to the public thereby contributing to national development. The Ministry’s ultimate goal is to ensure that parastatals are financially and economically sustainable. This goal entails that parastatals should endeavor to generate more profits, less dependent on government subvention and offer quality products and services in a most cost effective and efficient manner. Beside the above goal, the Ministry undertakes to establish good organizational and financial management systems to ensure transparency and accountability to the public. |
