The Ministry strives to accomplish its mission through its two departments namely;

1. Department of Youth Development

   The Department of Youth Development exists to develop the full potential of the youth of Malawi and actively promote their participation in personal, community and national development.

2. Department of Sports

The Department of Sports exists to promote the Malawian national identity and unity in diversity through youth empowerment, promotion and management of sports and recreational activities, for educational, posterity and poverty reduction.
