The Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery Services oversee the implementation of Hospital Based Nursing Services (Nursing Education), Community Health Nursing Services and Quality Assurance Services. Funding for the activities is from Malawi Government ORT. Some activities on the other programs like Community Home Based Nursing are also funded fromĀ National AIDS Commission (NAC), PACT through the Palliative Care Association of Malawi (PACAM), GTZ and WHO. Vision The vision of nursing/midwifery services is to promote excellence in the delivery of nursing and midwifery care services at all levels in order to improve quality of life of all people in Malawi. Mision The Mission of Nursing/Midwifery Services in Malawi is to assist individuals, families, groups and communities to attain a high level of well being by providing promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative nursing/midwifery services at all levels of health care delivery system.
