Hon. Dr. Martin Kansichi was born on June 6, 1952 at Mzumazi Village in Lilongwe, central Malawi.
He has a PhD (Hons) in Business Administration from Zoya University/ Kansas City University (USA), a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cambridge (UK). He is a graduate and member of Institute of Marketing (UK). Hon. Kansichi also has several professional certificates.
Hon. Kansichi served as Vice President of Malawi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and worked as Managing Director of several corporations and companies which included Kamwai Corporation, Shire Limited, Viply Limited, Wade Adams Malawi Limited and Matraco Limited.
He is married, and is a church elder of the Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP)
