Lilongwe, February 16, Mana: Cervical Cancer Specialist at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe, Dr Maxwell Chikuni has said it was very important that women should know their cancer status.He said this Tuesday in Lilongwe in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) that cancer of the cervix could be cured in its early stages (through surgery), that’s why it was important that women should go to the hospital for check up even if their no signs and symptoms.

Nkhata Bay, March 31, Mana: Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has hailed Unicef for a K350 million donation of four ambulance boasts to promote vaccination among children in hard to reach areas along the lakeshore.
The donation consists of a 15 passenger boat for Likoma and Chizumulu Islands and three boats for Mangochi, Rumphi and Nkhata Bay Districtseach with seating capacity of eight.

Chikwawa, September 27, Mana: Director in the Public Health Institute of Malawi, Benson Chilima, has reiterated the need for research on some diseases the country deals with if proper measures are to be taken to control them.
